Nieves “Neva” Martinez

Passed away March 10, 2022 in Farmington, NM.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.

Survived by her loving husband Ray Martinez, her daughter Cari Phillips Fuller, and her son Jerod Martinez.  She has 6 grandchildren; Brandon Phillips, Meriah Franklin, Michael Phillips, Noelle Phillips, Alicia Ellsaesser, and Alene Schaper, and 3 great grandchildren; Charlee Gallegos, Bella Ledbetter, and Korben Phillips.

Neva was a native to New Mexico and San Juan County.  She was well known and respected within the community.  She worked in the banking industry for over 30 years.  She loved painting and baseball.  She was a volunteer in many non-profit organizations and enjoyed helping others.  She will be dearly missed by many.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Emillio and Rafalita Garcia, her brothers Emilio Jr. Garcia, Press Garcia, Marvin Garcia, Melvin Garcia, her sisters Angelina Anya, Inez Reed, Dora Valdez, Dela Armenta, her sons Leonard “Lenny” Wayne Phillips and Michael Ray Phillips.
