Angelita was married to her Aztec High School sweetheart, Paul Kinlahcheeny, Jr. for 53 years. She completed her under-graduate and graduate studies at University of New Mexico, Fort Lewis College, and received her master’s at Dine College. She was a retired educator at Central Consolidated School District. She was a member of the Shiprock First United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and travelling nationwide for mission work.

She loved caring for sheep, camping, and being with family. She was a caring person and helped others in time of need.
