Bette Lou Coury

Bette L. Coury (née Savely), aged 89, passed away on July 30, 2024, in Farmington, New Mexico. Born on September 2, 1934, in El Paso, Texas, she lived a life marked by dedication to her family and community.

Bette is survived by her children, Mary Gary, Chris Coury, Jim Coury and his wife Candace; her grandchildren, Raven Goswick and her husband Sam, Tiffani Roberts and her husband Brian, Megan Journey and her husband Calvin, James Coury, and Brittani Coury; and her great-grandchildren Jake, Erica, Brianne Roberts, and Madison Gary. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Savely and Beatrice B. Rector; her beloved husband, John J. Coury Sr.; and her grandson, Beau James Gary.

A funeral mass will be held in her honor at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Farmington, NM, at 10 am on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. Graveside services will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Farmington, NM. Bette's memory will be forever cherished by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
