Dale Tafoya

Dale Tafoya passed away on March 21, 2021 at his home in Grants. He was born on December 12, 1940 also in Grants.

Mr. Tafoya was a former Deacon and Sunday school teacher with Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Canon City, Colorado. He worked as a uranium miner, industrial construction and residential carpenter, He loved woodworking, hunting, fishing, and snow skiing. He was loved and will be missed.

He is survived by his wife Josie Tafoya. His children; Dale Jr. and wife Andrea Tafoya, Ed and wife Judy Tafoya. Deborah and husband Gary Fischer, and Louie and wife Julie Sarracino, and ten grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Damacio Tafoya, Erma Mirabal Tafoya, and his sister Marcella Henderson.

A Memorial Service will be scheduled for a later date.

Honorary Pallbearers include; Alfonso Murrietta, Joseph Murrietta, Leon Tafoya, Wilfred Montano, Ruben Romero, Paul Mandagaran and Bernie Martinez.

Cope Memorial Chapel of Gallup is entrusted with arrangements.
