Dorvinia Jean Jim, 33, of Shiprock, New Mexico passed from life July 4, 2018. She was born September 7, 1984 in Provo, Utah to James and Laverne Jim. She is preceded in death by her father, James Jim, as well as her grandparents John and Olive Jim, Stella Jackson, and Frankie Pierce.
Born to the Bear people clan and born for the Red House clan, with her maternal clan being the Water that flows clan and her paternal clan being the Red Goat clan. She is survived by her mother Laverne Jim, as well as her brothers , Travis Jim and Terrance Jim (Heidi Jim), and her sisters Victoria Cassidy (David Cassidy), Donna Jim (James Blackowl), Divida Ayze (Roger Ayze), and DeVonne Jim.Dorvinia was a loved member in the Jim household. Her only occupation was bringing joy and happiness to the family. Close family members knew her as "Dori." She has brought smiles to everyone around her, from New Mexico, to Utah, Washington, Oklahoma, and Texas. She enjoyed music, fireworks, laughter, Disney films, and the company of babies. She will be missed by all who knew her. Dorvinia was and always will be OUR princess.
Visitation will be made available on Saturday, July 7, 2018 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Kirtland, New Mexico. Funeral services will begin the same day at 10:00 a.m. at the same location and will be officiated by her brother, Terrance Jim. Following the services, a reception will be held in the same location from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
