Earl Franklin Randlemon, 81, of Aztec passed from this life on May 17, 2018. He was born September 20, 1936 in Durango, Colorado. The family lived in Piedra, CO until 1945 when they moved to Aztec. Earl was a 1954 graduate of Aztec High School where he played on the 1953 AHS state championship football team.
On April 16, 1953 Earl married his high school sweetheart, Fay Huddleston. They recently celebrated their 65th anniversary.
Earl worked in the construction industry for many years as a heavy equipment operator and foreman for Atchison Construction and as vice president and general manager of San Juan Concrete.
Earl is survived by his wife, Fay; son, Randy (Annette) Randlemon; daughter, Judy (Don) Englehart; son-in-law, Jerry Williams; sister, Charline Gaston; grandchildren, Shea (Luke) Adams, Dan (Julianne) and Rye Randlemon, Larie, Lindsey and Cari Englehart, and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Marie Randlemon and his daughter, Debbie Williams.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am May 21, 2018 at the Aztec Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Glen Benfield, Bill Moss, Mike Huddleston, Dar Gunnink, Dan Randlemon and Rye Randlemon.
The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses, therapists and staff of San Juan Regional Medical Center, the Good Samaritan Center and Basin Hospice for their loving care during Earl's illness.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Aztec Museum Association, the Aztec Municipal School District Foundation, or any charity of choice.
