Lee Lovato passed away on January 11, 2021 in Grants, He was 94 years of age. He was born on August 8, 1926 in San Luis, New Mexico.
Mr. Lovato worked as a welder at Kerr- McGee mine, and was retired custodian from Grants - Cibola County Schools. He was the oldest of five siblings, he was a loving Husband, Dad and Grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was loved and will be missed.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mela Lovato. His Children; Frank Lovato, Andy Lovato and his wife Pauline. Lenore Lovato, Leon Lovato and his wife Carmen, Brenda Gutierrez and her husband Jerry, Anthony Lovato, Sarah Baca, and Margaret Saavedra. 19 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren. His siblings; Lillian Shriver and Francis Lovato and his wife Betty. Numerous nephews and nieces also survive him.
He was preceded in death by his children; Ben Lovato and Yolanda Lovato. His daughter-in-law; Helen Molina Lovato. His parents; Frank Lovato and Margaret Perez Lovato. His siblings; Erma Miller, Dora Maestas, Walter Lovato.
On Monday January 18, 2021 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church at 9:30 am a Rosary will be recited. At 10:00 am a Mass will be celebrated by Father Faustinus Ibebuike. Interment will follow at San Fidel Community Cemetery.
Pallbearers include; Leon Saavedra, Adam Saavedra, Joshua Martinez, Richard Jaramillo, Frank Lovato Jr., Louie Lovato, Leonard Lovato, Noah Lovato, Ben Lovato Jr., Orlando Lovato, Julian Lovato, and Ryan Lovato.
Cope Memorial Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
