Emmitt Kenneth Ward, 67, was a resident of Farmington, New Mexico. He was born in Santa Fe, NM on February 20, 1954 and died in Farmington NM June 21, 2021.
Emmitt graduated from Escalante high school. Shortly after, he moved to Farmington where he started his family and career. He started work in construction and eventually moved into the oil and gas industry. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather to his wife, four kids, and five grandkids. He enjoyed the simple things in life, and spending time with his family and friends was his favorite thing to do.
Emmitt was preceded in death by his wife Odette Ward, parents Clyde Ward Sr. and Emma Ward (Deyapp), and brother Clyde (Tommy) Ward Jr.
Emmitt is survived by sons: Shane Ward, Brandon Ward (Kristin), and Travis Ward; daughter Mirriah (Ward) Gilley (Kris); his brothers: Sam (Willard) Ward Sr. (Cecilia), his sisters: Iva Garcia (Jimmy), and Eva Lopez (Frank), his grandchildren: Colin Gilley, Madison Gilley, Keatyn Ward, Jacoby Ward, and Barrett Ward.
A visitation will be held beginning 6:00pm on Monday June 28, 2021 at Cope Memorial Chapel Farmington located at 404 W. Arrington St, Farmington, NM.
Services will be held beginning 1:30pm on Tuesday June 29, 2021 at First Baptist Church located at 511 W. Arrington St, Farmington, NM.
A procession to the interment will follow services at 2:30pm to Greenlawn Cemetery located at 1606 N Dustin, Farmington, NM.
Pallbearers are Dion Garcia , Tommy Ward Jr, Artie Lopez, Ivan Ward, Travis Ward, Collin Gilley.
Donations and memorials can be made to Brandon Ward.
