He was a member and attended faithfully The Master’s Hand Church of God in Bloomfield, NM. He would proudly announce to anyone who would listen that his son The Reverend David Velasquez was his Pastor.

He was very proud of his children and grandchildren’s decisions to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and live their lives in accordance to God’s Word. He was humbled to know that his influence and his example of living for God had affected them in such a positive way.
