Fredrick Walter Schlegel

Fredrick Walter Schlegel 'April 13, 1936 - November 16, 2021', was born to Clara Mattie and William Walter Schlegel on their homestead near Dove Creek, Colorado on April 13, 1936. He was a "Jack of All Trades" he mined and did various construction jobs during his lifetime these sometimes took him to other areas, but he always called Dove Creek home. Fred left his mark on the world through multiple cement, metal, and wood projects that dot the Four Corners area. After sharing 55 years of marriage to his wife Eda Lynn, he leaves behind a legacy of 5 children: Timothy Dean (Stacey), Ione Janine (David), Janelle Lynn (Jack), Lois Marie (Bucky), and Austin Dwayne. He is the grandfather of 11 grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his parents, sisters Arbedella and Frances, brothers Hugh, Rudolf, and David as well as 2 great granddaughters. Fred will be laid to rest at the Schlegel family plot in Arriola, Colorado.
