Idell Schaefer

Idell Schaefer, 88, of Farmington, NM passed peacefully on November 7, 2020 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born in 1932 in Reagan Wells, TX to W.C. and Mattie Morris. She was raised in Texas and graduated high school in Sabinal, TX where she also met the love of her life, Harold. They married in 1951 and later moved to Farmington, NM in 1965. They established Four Corners Electric and operated it until 1984. They then established HICO Enterprises and operated that until 1994. Idell and Harold enjoyed an active lifestyle of golfing, bowling, boating, RVing, and traveling. Idell loved and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

She was preceded by her husband, Harold Schaefer; son, Harold "Butch" Schaefer, Jr.; parents, W.C. and Mattie Morris; and brother, W.A. Morris. She is survived by her daughter, Madeline (David) Christensen; sister, Hattie (Jerry) Gladish; granddaughter, Melissa (Dennis) Kittelson; great grandchildren, Maxwell and Daisy Kittelson.

She will be interred at Memory Gardens in Farmington, NM on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 1:00 PM. Graveside services will be officiated by Larry Davis of Trinity Lutheran Church. Family requests, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice De La Luz in Albuquerque.
