Ivy Dell Trapp, 96, of Aztec, NM passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021, in Aztec. She was born on August 27, 1924, in Melfort, Saskatchewan, Canada to Ernest Johnson and Ethel Bevan Scott. She married Earl Roy Trapp on September 29, 1956, in Belém, Pará, Brasil.
Ivy and Earl spent 60 years as missionaries among the Kayapó tribe of Brasil. Ivy's resolute, selfless, tireless, and prayerful life's work as a servant of the Lord resulted in many Kayapó giving their lives to Christ.
Ivy is survived by her husband, Earl; her daughters Patricia Rosenberger (Philip) and Anita Trapp (Adrian Sweeney); her grandchildren Daniel, Karalee, William, and Karissa; and her step-grandchildren Darrell, Bradley and Ryan along with their wives and children. She is also survived by two of her 10 brothers and sisters, Earl Johnson (Betty) and Barbara Haskell (Bud) and many nieces and nephews.
Ivy's funeral service will be at 9:30 am on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Light of Life Church in Farmington, NM immediately followed by her burial in Memory Gardens in Farmington.
