Joyce LaFern (Hale) Clelland

Joyce LaFern Clelland, 79, of Aztec passed away from this life to be with the Lord on Friday, July 21, 2023, at 4:38 pm at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington. She was born September 28, 1943 in Fort Stanton, NM to John Lower and Mamie Margaret Hale.

She graduated from Kirtland High School in Kirtland, New Mexico. Joyce married a handsome fellow and the love of her life, named Russell Lynn Clelland in Albuquerque, New Mexico and was later sealed in the St George Temple in Southern Utah in 1980. Joyce loved to laugh, and her family was her pride and joy. Joyce's hobbies included reading, dancing, singing, fishing and camping.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, John Lower and Mamie Margaret Hale. She is survived by her sons DeWayne Lee Clelland, Russell Lynn Clelland II, and daughter Cynthia LuAnn Tucker; grandchildren Brittany Santini, Christopher Tucker, Andrew Tucker, Colter Tucker, Jonathan Clelland, Brennen Clelland and Katrina Clelland and many more great grandchildren.

A short viewing will be from 5:00 pm - 5:30 pm on Friday, July 28 at Cope Memorial Chapel, 404 W Arrington St in Farmington. Interment will take place in Bayfield, Colorado at a later date.
