Larry Dunkle

Larry Mitchell Dunkle, 65, of Farmington, NM, was called home to be with his Heavenly Father, while surrounded by family, after battling cancer, on Saturday, March 24, 2018. Larry was born on September 7, 1952 in Fresno, CA, to Mary Ruth Owen and Everett Noel Dunkle, the oldest of their 4 children.

Larry met Teresa King (now Teresa Wauneka) in Bible College and they married in December of 1974. Together they had three children. Larry was a loving father and grandfather. Larry was best described by those who knew him as very intelligent, quiet, generous, witty, stubborn, kind hearted and a Jack of all trades! Larry spent his life in the great states of California, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. He spent his career in auto mechanics and could often be found working under the hood of a Volkswagen! He enjoyed painting and was a fantastic artist and photographer. Larry was also known for his infinite love for milk and his sense of humor. Larry loved the Lord and gained a second family at his church New Haven Baptist Temple.

He is preceded in death by his father Everett Noel Dunkle.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Ruth Rezac; brothers, Scott Dunkle (Dawn) of Oregon and Matt Dunkle (CJ) of Colorado; sister, Ruth Cash (Mike) of Texas; daughters, Michelle Arenas (Johnny) of Aztec, Nicole Lobato (Jacob) of Farmington; and son, Evett Dunkle of Farmington; grandchildren, Elijah Arenas, Dominic Arenas, Abron Lobato, Brendon Lobato, Noah Lobato, Hannah Dunkle, Daisy Gary and Chloe Dunkle; 1 great-grandchild on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry's family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to all those who gave their time, help, care, prayers and support.

A memorial service will be held in Larry's honor on Saturday, April 7th at 11:00 am at New Haven Baptist Temple, 2016 E. 16th St., Farmington, conducted by Pastor Burt Blackburn. Cremation has taken place.
