Lindy Pierce, 73, of Huerfano passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 in Raton, New Mexico. He was born on June 12, 1947 to Jim Pierce, Jr. and Julia Francisco in Huerfano, NM. Lindy was born to “Nashushi.”

Lindy graduated from Albuquerque High School. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad and for Union Labor of New Mexico. He did a lot of ranching with cattle and livestock. He had a good life and liked being around people and helping others. We are going to miss him very much.

Lindy is survived by his half-brothers, Luther Pierce, Ambrose Pierce, Harvey Pierce, half-sisters, Mary Flores, Elouise Atencio and Linda Pierce.

A public viewing will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Cope Memorial Chapel, 458 Road 6100, Kirtland, New Mexico.  A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 11, 2020 at Brethren In Christ Cemetery, Otis, New Mexico. Pallbearers, Ambrose Pierce, Brian Pierce, Ronston Bronston, Roger Ayze, Jonathan Ayze and Terrance Jim.
