Nelson Bunny, Jr., 43, of Fruitland, NM passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 in Shiprock, NM. He was born on January 26, 1978 in Shiprock, NM to Nelson Bunny, Sr. and Della Joy Plummer.
Nelson was an amazing son, brother, uncle and friend to many. He was always humble and polite to everyone he met. He enjoyed traveling and going to concerts with his dad, cooking for the family and hanging out with friends. His hobbies were working on vehicles and electronics. Nelson will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Nelson is preceded in death by mother, Della Joy Plummer; brother, Bruce Lee Bunny; grandparents, Edward O. Plummer (Chei), Jim Bunny (Nallie Man), Elsie P. Sims (Nallie Lady) Allen Sims (Step-Grandpa).
Nelson is survived by father, Nelson Bunny, Sr.; sisters, Yvonne Prado, Collean Bunny, Phoebie Benally; uncle, Monroe Platero, Sr.; nieces/nephews, Skyler Prado, Kaylah Begay, Kayleen Begay, Noah Benally, Caleb Benally, Joshua Benally, Isaiah Sanchez, Laricsa Sanchez and Janeice Sanchez.
A funeral service will be held at Cope Memorial Chapel of Farmington on Wednesday June 9, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Larry Jack officiating. Burial will follow at Kirtland Fruitland Cemetery. Pallbearers are Andy Buck, Bart Saunders, Adrian Joe (AJ), Michael Benally, Skyler Prado and Isaiah Sanchez.
