Ora Slusser

October 14, 1927 — October 8, 2021

Ora Blanche Slusser, 93, of Aztec, New Mexico passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on October 8, 2021 to be with her heavenly father and her loving husband William J. Slusser (Bill). Ora was born in Jacumba, California and preceded in death by her parents Charles Clinton Haralson, Sr. and Alie Bell Haralson.  She is also preceded in death by her sons, Larry Slusser and Stanley Slusser and grandson Gerald Slusser.  She is survived by her daughters Lynda Lacey (Dave) of Alamagordo, NM and Leslie Brown (Randy) of Edgewood, NM and by her son William P. Slusser (Anita) of Farmington, NM and 12 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.  Her family was her pride and joy whom is loved with all her heart. She and Bill loved to dance and square dance.  She sewed their square dancing clothes and they traveled all over the country to dance.  Now they are dancing in heaven.   Before she lost her eyesight her passion was reading, she would read up to seven books a week.  She worked for the Aztec schools has a secretary/bookkeeper for many years but missed her calling as an interior decorator.  She always took pride in her beautiful homes and she loved her silk flowers.  Upon her wishes there will be no service. She will be cremated and join her husband and sons on their mountain at El Vado Lake, NM.  In lieu of flowers please send donations to Basin Good Neighbor Foundation at basingoodneighbor.org.
