Peter Marquez was born in Durango Colorado on January 23, 1956 to Pete and Gloria Marquez. Peter went to his eternal glory, November 30th 2021.
Peter was loved and cherished by many. He was a charismatic and fun loving guy who was spontaneous and would light up any room with his smile. Peter always worked hard in every profession and dedicated his life to friends and family. Peter was the biggest fan of his grandkids and nephews sporting events and was so proud of each one of them. He loved boating, golfing, and extreme challenges riding in the RZR. Peter never missed an opportunity to help someone in need. He left us with a great example of being present and living life to its fullest, taking his pain and trials heroically.
Peter is survived by the love of his life Tonya (his honey) and son Seth Marquez (lyndi) who was his pride and joy. Also survived by his grandchildren, Deacon Pete, Josslyn Louise, Camila Josephine, Lexy, Mylie, Avah, Talia, and Jaxon, Mother , Gloria Marquez, Siblings Ross Marquez, Leo Marquez (Monica), Liz Armenta, Chris Marquez, Patsy Marquez, Matthew Marquez( Aaryn), Franco Marquez ( Janelle) and numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews , great nieces and 2 great-great nephews.
He is preceded in death by his Father Jose CP Marquez “Pete”, brother Bobby Marquez, sister Louise Marquez-Johnson, niece Crystal Marquez and nephew Vincent Marquez.
A rosary will be recited for him Monday December 6, at 7:00 pm at St. Mary’s Church in Bloomfield N.M.
Funeral Mass will be held December 7, 2021 at St. Mary’s Church at 10:00 am in Bloomfield N.M.
Pallbearers are Seth Marquez, Ross Marquez, Leo Marquez, Chris Marquez, Matthew Marquez and Franco Marquez.
Pete will be laid to rest at New Rosa Cemetery (Arboles Co) following the funeral on December 7, 2021. Reception will be held at his residence, located at 9 road 5291 Farmington following the burial.
