Ricardo Arturo Cuevas "Ricky"

Born on December 22, 2009, in Shiprock, New Mexico passed away on June 28, 2024, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, He will be remembered for his kind and infectious laughter that could light up any room. His gentle and unwavering love touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him and his impact during his time with us will forever be cherished. 

Ricardo is survived by his mother Kristina Brandi Etcitty and his sisters Amilia Madai Cuevas and Luna Cuevas. His memory will also be cherished by his grandparents Robert Etcitty, Elizabeth Love, Frank Love, Hector Teran, Socorro Teran, Flora Cuevas, and Magarito Montoya.

Ricardo is proceeded in death by his father Hector Cuevas and Uncle Paul Garcia. and his great-grandparents Patricia Love, Trank Love, Katy Yazzie, Jerry Etcitty, Maria Teran, and Jose Teran.

Among those who will miss him greatly are family members such as Aunts and Uncles Sara and Jeremy Gonzales, Patricia and Jonathan Reed, Danielle Garcia, Madai and Aaron Cuevas, Alonso Teran, Christopher Teran, Jack Teran, Daleyza Teran, Alana as well as Cousins Isiah, Alicia, Josiah, Joseph, Jakeem, Dominic, Jonathan, Gensis, Paul Jr., Aaron Jr.,Esmeralda, Andres, Ruby, April, Giovanni, Priscilla, Ulysses, Madalyn, Baby Isiah, Aria, Bella, Royalty, Sofia, Hector,  Analaya ,Enzo, and Elena.

Ricky was a Special soul, since he was born. He was a very quiet shy little man. The middle child of his two sisters, whom he loved to annoy and be a goofball with. When Ricky turned 6 Years old, he was diagnosed with Epilepsy, He was a strong fighter, a kid at heart. and he loved playing with his action figures. Ricky was a master at hiding your belongings with a big grin on his face watching you look for it. He enjoyed fishing, camping and watching tv and playing on his phone. He had a special love for Ninja Turtles his favorite was Leonardo. Ricky just finished 8th grade he accomplished being student of the month and student of the week. He was also proud of a few pinks slips he got. Ricky loved to always compare everything and everyone, he wanted to know how big and fast each animal was and how tall everyone was compared to himself. Ricky was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Forever 14.

Services to honor Ricardo's life will include visitation at First Presbyterian Church in Farmington on July 8th at 10:00 AM followed by a Funeral Service at First Presbyterian Church in Farmington at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Farmington at 1:00 PM with an additional gathering held at First Presbyterian Church later that afternoon.

Ricardo's light may have left this world too soon but the love he shared will continue to shine through the memories he created with those who had the pleasure of knowing him. May he rest peacefully knowing he was deeply loved and will always be remembered fondly by all whose lives he touched.
