Robert K. Shumway, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grand father and friend passed away on October 31, 2024 at the age of 79.
Bob was born in Seattle, WA on July 25, 1945 to Robert Shumway and Francis Fagg. He was a brother to older sister Nita and younger sister Carol. He was a father to his three grown children Amy, Jennifer and Christopher. He became a widower after 40 wonderful years of marriage to Sandra Jean and found love again with his second wife Shelia Shumway.
He was an auto and air compressor mechanic/machinist for most of his career. His hobbies included rebuilding and painting cars in his younger years. He loved his HO scale model train layout and was always adding to it with items that reminded him of his loved ones and the trains he admired.
He loved to dance when opportunity arose with family and friends, especially with his lovely wife Shelia at the Farmington Elks Lodge. He had a natural artistic talent that allowed him to create paintings and model cars, buildings for his train layout and many other artistic endeavors.
Bob is preceded in death by his first wife Sandra Jean McClellan Shumway, his parents Robert Shumway and Francis Fagg, his stepfather Herbert Newman, and his older sister Nita Fulman.
He is survived by his second wife Shelia Shumway, younger sister Carol Stamm, children Amy Herbolsheimer, Jennifer Holder and Christopher Shumway, grandchildren Shane Haley, Samantha Pickett, Craig Shumway, Marshall Zelhart, Zachary Zelhart, Andrew and Alex Duran, Champ Medina and 14 great grandchildren.
