Rosalia Tharp

Rosalia Bagwell Tharp, age 96, passed away August 28, 2021 in Converse, Texas of natural causes due to age. She was born July 28, 1925 in Manassa, Colorado to William Lawrence Bagwell and Mabel Reed. She moved to Farmington in 1957.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She worked and retired from the Farmington Munipal School kitchen; belonged to many clubs; loved to travel; had a sense of humor; and never lost her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and all of their spouses; 2nd husband W D Tharp; daughter Frances Mortensen Spencer and granddaughter Margie Spencer Cozart.

She is survived by daughters Betty Mortensen McGee (John) of Farmington and Linda Mortensen Strawn (Leslie) of Converse, Texas; grandson Brent Strawn (Jenna), Mark Strawn (Sharon), and Michael Strawn (Tran); granddaughters Valerie Strawn Baugh (Matthew), Cammy Spencer Reeves (Mark), Lori McGee Vandruff (Carl), and Tara McGee Gonzales; 13 great granddaughters, 8 great grandsons, 2 great great granddaughters, and 1 great great grandson.

Funeral will be Saturday, September 18 at 11:00am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Knudsen Street with a viewing before at 10:00am.
