Out precious son Tyler Ryan Root was born September 6, 1994, and entered the Kingdom of Heaven on November 21, 2024. Tyler will be missed everyday by his father, Paul Root, his mother Sandi Root, his sister Sarah Root, his cousins and many friends.
Tyler graduated from Aztec High School and stayed in touch with several of his high school friends. He spent all his life in his hometown of Aztec. He had a creative mind and a humble quiet spirit. He loved visiting with “real, genuine” people. Tyler liked a simple life, he enjoyed working with his hands, doing carpentry and fixing up his house. He was a talented artist in various forms of art.
Tyler had a love for the outdoors. He spent many hours fly fishing, hunting, snowboarding, riding motorcycles and his ATV. Tyler loved tinkering with his hotrod Mustang and was a member of the “StreetSlayerz” car club.
Tyler was mechanical minded and was an electrician by trade and a meticulous welder. He worked as a supervisor for Taft Electrical and traveled all over the country using his electrical talents. He would often FaceTime his parents to show them where he was working and each time it was a different landscape.
As a child, he loved riding his bike, playing with GI Joes, building sandbox cities and playing with cars and trucks of all kinds. He also loved going on “Cousins Campout” every summer. He loved going on vacation every year with his family and spending time with his Papa and Granny up in Vallecito Colorado. He was his Papa’s little buddy.
His family attended Animas Valley Church where he was a part of their youth group. At 13, he went to Juarez, Mexico with his youth group where they ministered to kids and worked in an orphanage. It was a life changing experience for Tyler, and he saw life in a whole different way. Tyler loved kids and they loved him. He also went to Costa Rica on a mission trip with his youth group where they did several different types of Ministries.
Tyler will always be remembered with much love by his heart broken family and friends. He left his sweet French bulldog “Marley” behind as well as a treasure trove of wonderful memories. We take comfort in knowing that Tyler is now with his “Papa” Doug Madlock and his “Granny” Rita Madlock and is loved here on earth as well as in heaven.
